The core technologies include alkylation, sulfonation, sulfation and special chemical processes, such as the production of biocidal quats tertiary amine derivatives, and organometallic fuel additives. Pilot is a leader in the production of quaternary ammonium compounds is the world’s largest manufacturer of disulfonates, and has the most advanced continuous sulfation process in North America. Recently, Pilot invested in two separate technology and innovation centers to further advance the development specifically in specialty chemicals. Pilot complies with the American Chemistry Council’s Responsible Care® Management System.

After the acquisition of the American company Mason Chemical, Pilot was able to further expand the category of Disinfectant & Sanitizer products and is now in a position to produce and offer an innovative product portfolio of biocidal active ingredients worldwide.

“This product group is an ideal fit for the existing product portfolio of ChemSynergy GmbH”, explained Managing Director Dr. Frank Wieczorek.

“Due to the current general market situation, we expect strong demand, especially in the areas of biocides and disinfectants. For us as a specialist in the field of basic oleochemicals, the cooperation is another step towards the distribution of specialty chemicals”.

The contract came into force on 4.4.2022 and covers the entire European distribution business.
